Natalia Gordienko Will Return For Moldova

Public broadcaster TRM has confirmed that Natalia Gordienko will represent Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. Natalia was set to represent the nation last year and is the 23rd artist of 2020 to return to the Contest.

TRM published a press release stating that they had looked into organizing a national final. However, the broadcaster noted that the creative staff and minimal technical staff would exceed the limit of 50 people which is currently imposed by the Moldovan government.

Given the fact that the winner of the national final in 2020 did not have the opportunity to participate at Eurovision due to the cancellation, TRM decided to give Natalia Gordienko the chance to represent her country again.

It will not be the first time Natalia stands on the Eurovision stage. In 2006 she represented Moldova with Arsenium. Their song Loca made it to the final in Athens.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2021 will take place in Ahoy, Rotterdam in The Netherlands on 19, 21 and 23 May 2021. Eurofans in New Zealand can watch all three shows live on the official Eurovision YouTube channel, without commentary.
