Yes, after years of rumours and speculation, the EBU and its partners have finally confirmed the existence of the Eurovision Asia Song Contest.
With a flashy video (who can you spot?) and brand new website, Eurovision Asia will bring the world’s biggest music show to some of the biggest global markets of music in the world. Not only with Eurovision Asia feature some of the most well-known music industries in the region – think K-POP and J-POP – it will also bring to centre-stage amazing music and performance from lesser-known countries. You may come to love Vietnamese pop music!
Today, we’re beginning our new series “Road to Eurovision Asia” where we will explore every aspect of the new Song Contest until its debut, with a specific focus on New Zealand’s (possible) participation.
Stay tuned and get ready to hear…”Good evening Asia!”.
